One in particular being that religion and politics mixing have turned many people away from the church specifically. And many people who are turning away from the church due to politics then find themselves searching for something which leads to them identifying as spiritual.

I think that science definitely makes people question whether God is real or not. You cant 100% believe in both evolution and creation, so science and organized religion to contradict eachother. **Then this is second teammate’s post: I think that people get turned away from religion because it can seem forced upon them. For instance, they believe that there’s a higher being and would like to learn more on who he is. However, when they go to a friend who’s apart of a religious group let’s say Christian. That friend instead of helping them find the right religion for them, tries their best to convert them into Christianity forgetting about all other religions and beliefs and enforces that their’s is the right one. I also believe that science does cause people to question their faith in God or in fact increases it. For example, from the video last week where we learned that there’s trillions of galaxy’s and the earth is roughly the size of the tip of a pin. You can’t help but think that there’s a higher power that created us all and the universe.
