Children who have sufficiently honed their motor skills and are between the ages of three and five are in the preschool developmental period. Education on safety is crucial, especially for the parents and other adults who look after children who are prone to the condition. A method aimed at incorporating patients and families in crucial care is safety education. The greatest way to reduce the effects of pediatric disorders in society and the family is to raise awareness of them. A nursing diagnosis is a clinical evaluation and conclusion that focuses on how people respond to health conditions or how susceptible a family, person, community, or society is to possible health issues or consequences. Some of the nursing diagnoses will address oxygenation needs, dietary needs, and hydration needs since these are crucial in this particular developmental time since the preschool children who participated in the safety instruction range in age from three to five.

In order to properly meet the child’s oxygenation demands, a risk of asphyxia, inappropriate breathing patterns, and hindered gas exchange must first be identified. The second step in addressing the child’s nutritional needs is a nursing diagnosis, which may encompass interrupted breastfeeding and unbalanced nutrition that is typically inadequate for the body’s demands. Ultimately, nursing diagnosis for insufficient fluid volume, risk of electrolyte imbalance, and the threat of dysfunctional gastrointestinal motility will be necessary to meet the child’s hydration needs.
