Competencies Developed in Researching and Writing the Course Comprehensive Project
These courses have reaffirmed the information I needed to know to sustain and grow my company, which I already operate in the Philippines. I’ve been working with the city as I wait for my last permit to be processed. My business is suffering as a result of COVID-19. Even though the final inspection was over two months ago, the documentation still hasn’t received a stamp. The entire process was once planned to be finished by December 2020.The current monthly expenses for this business are$1000.00, while the monthly revenue loss is $1800.00. I bought a franchise from Remitly for one of my other businesses. This company operates as a money exchange, much like Western Union. Most of my clients are from the Philippines and the United States. A predetermined service fee for each transaction is how I get paid. I frequently conduct business in the Philippines; thus, I am able to use this service without having to pay a fee. I also utilize a foreign bank. I applied online, but I had to make a call to set up an account. I also own a grocery store, an insurance agency, an internet café, and a call center.
A shareholder’s ownership interest in a corporation is expressed as equity shares. Stock can be acquired from the corporation directly or through secondary market public offerings. Profits and maximizing wealth are important to investors. When a stock experiences both capital and dividend appreciation, its value increases. Shareholders merely influence the outcome and have no influence over it. All that matters is money, money, money.
Stakeholders are everyone who is impacted by the actions of the business, such as employees, clients, creditors, and suppliers. Stakeholders are interested in the company either directly or indirectly. The impact and influence of stakeholders directly affect the performance of the business.
The challenge facing the corporation is whether to put the interests of the shareholder or the stakeholder first, given that shareholders typically serve as the primary controllers of the company’s focus. Stakeholders are not interested in short-term goals; instead, they have long-term ambitions and wish to make investments that will improve their worth. Companies’ rising stakeholder value toward corporate social obligations is a positive priority change (CSR).
