It will be crucial for me to know what problems the facility has experienced in the past and how management handled such problems as the new general manager of a municipal leisure center in my neighborhood. While managing a facility in a small Texan town or one in Downtown New York City might require different skills, it’s crucial to be adaptable and eager to learn.

Many issues have already arisen in this facility, particularly about failure to achieve goals and objectives and ineffective responses to environmental changes. The major goal is to ensure that goals and objectives are being met; this informs me that change needs to be made.

Given that there has been a problem with unmet objectives and that this particular strategy is intended to improve strategic planning by connecting program goals and resource allocation levels, the Goal Model would be the most useful in this situation (Schwarz, 2020). You must confirm that objectives are consistently being met if you want to assess how well your company is performing.

I’ll gauge how much success my management will have at the site using this approach. Setting and achieving goals is crucial because it demonstrates to financiers and donors that the funding is being used to achieve the organization’s goals (Schwarz, 2020).

One that drew my attention was the High-performing System, which, along with the Goal Model, would be a very useful approach to gauge the performance of my organization. It would be a great opportunity to assess the possibilities of our facility to be able to contrast my organization with other comparable businesses. You can compare your financials, for instance, to determine how well your facility is performing and if the other rival facilities are performing well.

Even though all the other models might be viable options for other people, the Goal and High-performing System models would be the most effective for me. Since poor management has historically plagued our facility, these two models will both benefit our facility and aid in my analysis of the organizational performance of my management.
