One of the organizational theories that I am interested in themost is Servant. I myself when in a leadership positition even forsomething simple like at home or with planning a family/friend eventtend to act in servant leadership. I never knew it was an actual typesince I only knew about the more old-school types of styles. Servantleaders tend to make decisions made with the best interest of thecompany and employees in mind. They also are empathetic and listen topeople so it becomes easier to communicate and get through situationstogether. Servant leaders also are self-aware with their behavior andthink of others and how it affects them. Generally they seem commited totheir people and wanting to build a stronger community within that.Although, there are cons to this type of leadership style. It may takelonger to reach goals and decisions since steps are taken to make sureeveryone is heard and alright. As well as possibly lacking the authorityfigure role for some employees. And of course, some people may see themas weaker or not understand their leadership style and try to exploitor take advantage of that.

I picked Transformational Leadership Theory. Some of the advantages of this theory is that it keeps the company open, honest and ethical. These are some core values for transformational leaders, they remain focused on doing the right thing in the right way. They encourage change because that what helps a business evolve. The business must be willing to adapt to improving and expanding over time.
Some disadvantages of this theory are there is too much focus on the bigger picture, they tend to overlook the details, preferring instead to focus on the bigger picture. With these leaders they use their charisma to serve as role models for their employees and the organization at large. They arent afraid to take risk but if you go too far with your risk-taking, then your actions can become detrimental to the team and the organization. We all make many decisions everyday. Many of these decisions are routine and require no real thought,however, throughout life we will also face many big decisions. These bigdecisions will require us to seek external opinions or information.They will also require that we think about many possible solutions andtry to predict the outcome of each solution. While I am in school, I haven’t been working but i’ve becomerestless at home from it. I had the thought about selling digital artthings again to try and make some money but the cost up to make thatdream a reality was holding me back. I was also worried aboutcompetition since small art businesses are very popular right now. Idicussed with my close group of friends and my husband about the ideas.Usually when I keep thinking about doing something over and over it endsup becoming something I do after careful thinking. I’ve become moreinvolved with the enamel pin community, specifically in anime, and havegotten more comfortable learning and hearing from other makers andartists on how it all works and what to look for. I decided to do itafter thinking my options and talking to people close to me as well asprofessionals in the field and saved up enough money to get the toolsand equipment I needed at home as well as set up an Etsy shop and beginworking on art and making prints and pins. If I didn’t have themotivational group to support me I probably would be too scared andoverwhelmed to even start somewhere

One of the biggest decisions that I’ve made recently in mylife is the decision to start and finish college. I started classes formy Associate degree when I was 19 and I will finish before I turn 21.I’m almost done currently but I have struggled a lot along the way. WithCOVID happening, I’ve been struggling to decide on how to deal withthat and manage my life with it, as everyone else has been doing.Everyone wants to quit at times and its not always fun but I am reallyglad that I decided to not quit and complete my degree. I’ve had to makesome sacrifices and learn a lot of time management skills. I often hadthought about quitting and just working but after COVID I decided thatits a good opportunity for me to just finish school during this time.Also the fact that having a degree and certificate will enable me to getmuch better job opportunities has also helped me make my decision. Asfor external advice and opinions, everyone has always supported me andencouraged me to complete my classes because of how it would benefit me.The support from people I trust has helped me to feel that I made theright decision.
